INFORMATION STATEMENT AND APPLICATION

Interested Homeowners to Apply by June 15, 2026

In 2026, the City of Roanoke Rapids plans to apply for CDBG Neighborhood Revitalization funds from the North Carolina Rural Economic Development Division (REDD) to provide rehabilitation or replacement housing assistance to lower-income homeowner households in the City Limits. The program will be sponsored by the City, with funds provided by the Rural Economic Development Division.

Interested homeowners may obtain a 2026 CDBG-NR Application (Click on Link Below) or contact the City's Planning & Development Department to request a copy of the full application by calling (252) 533-2844, This email address is being protected from spambots. The City encourages households with lower incomes who occupy substandard housing to contact the City if they would like to be considered for a rehabilitation or reconstruction housing loan (up to 8-year term, 0% interest forgiven loan) offered through the CDBG program.

If you wish to be considered for CDBG assistance, you must return the three attached application forms to the Roanoke Rapids Planning & Community Development Department by Monday, June 15, 2026. At least one of the owners of the property must sign the application form.
